Traveler Documents

All travelers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining appropriate valid travel documents (e.g. Passport and "real ID") and/or providing that information on request prior to departure.

Force Majeure

The parties’ performance under this Agreement is subject to acts of God, war, government  regulation, threats or acts of terrorism or similar acts, disaster, strikes (except those involving the Hotel’s employees or agents), civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities, or any other

emergency beyond the parties’ control, making it inadvisable, illegal or impossible to perform their obligations under the Agreement. Either party may cancel the Agreement for any one or more of such reasons upon written notice to the other.

European Entry Requirements for Travel June 2027

For U.S. citizens traveling to Europe next June, a traditional tourist visa is generally not required for short leisure trips to countries in the Schengen Area, as long as the visit is 90 days or less within any 180-day period.

However, two important European entry systems may apply by the time of travel:

ETIAS Travel Authorization
The European Union is expected to require U.S. travelers to complete an online travel authorization called ETIAS before entering most European countries in the Schengen Area. This is not a visa, but it is a required pre-travel authorization, similar in concept to the U.S. ESTA system for international visitors.

The application is expected to be completed online, with a small fee, and approval will usually be issued quickly. We recommend completing this well in advance of departure once the system is active.

EES Biometric Entry System
Europe is also implementing a new Entry/Exit System, known as EES, which will digitally record entries and exits for non-EU travelers. Instead of relying on passport stamps, border authorities may collect basic biometric information, such as a facial image and fingerprints, when travelers enter the Schengen Area.

This does not require a separate application before travel, but it may add a little extra time at the airport or border, especially on the first entry.

Passport Validity
Travelers should also make sure their passports are valid for at least three months beyond their planned departure date from the Schengen Area. As a best practice, we recommend having at least six months of passport validity remaining at the time of travel.

Bottom Line
For next June, U.S. travelers should plan on needing a valid passport, staying within the 90-day Schengen limit, and most likely completing the ETIAS online authorization before departure. We will continue to monitor the official rollout and will provide updated guidance as the travel date gets closer.
